Dear Student,
I have some exciting news! We have recently upgraded to the latest version of Blackboard Learn™ 9.1, Service Pack 10, a new student centered, more modern and user friendly version which we believe will improve your educational experience. The system will be live to all users the week of December 3, 2012. You will continue to have access to the old Blackboard system (i.e. Blackboard 9) to access your previous course(s) while we make this transition. The old Blackboard system will be available for an ample amount of time. You will be notified of a date before Blackboard 9 is taken offline.
Academic Computing will be providing a list of previews, workshops, documentation, and videos. Please sign up for a workshop(s) when the dates are made available. In the meantime, to ensure you can familiarize yourself with these new features of Blackboard Learn 9.1 and be ready to integrate those features in your learning process, here are a few valuable resources offered by Blackboard that you may be interested in reviewing:
· Quick Hit Videos –1 1 a set of videos on YouTube that introduce all the new features.
· On-Demand Learning Center – free access to video tutorials and getting started guides.
· Feature Showcase – screenshots and information on most Blackboard Learn 9.1 features.
· Help.Blackboard.com –I I assistance using the new Blackboard Learn platform, organized by role.
I am confident that you will find as much excitement in this new version of Blackboard Learn as I do. We hope it will make learning more fun wherever you are.
If you have questions or concerns about these upcoming changes, please let me know.
Regards,
Kimberley Logan
